Ophthalmology

The Northern Beaches Hospital Ophthalmology service provides medical eye care to all patients, including children.

Our ophthalmologists treat eye conditions, infections and trauma. They also commonly test peripheral vision, measure the size and structures of the eye, and order photographs or scans of the eye, such as CT or MRI.

Ophthalmologists can determine the cause of visual abnormalities and assist in consultation with paediatrics, intensive care, endocrinology, rheumatology, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, and maxillofacial specialties.
