Northern Beaches Hospital offers bulk billing for urgent medical care.
Patients are seen in order of their arrival, however, patients are triaged by the nursing staff/receptionists and acute patients will be prioritised.
The service is not designed as a long-term general practice (your family doctor). Long term care of chronic conditions and prescription services are not provided.
Important Information for Patients
- Fees for Non-Medicare Patients: patients without Medicare will be charged a private fee between $85 to $120.
- Doctor Availability: Patients cannot choose their doctor as care is provided by the next available practitioner.
- No Appointments Necessary: We operate on a walk-in basis, ensuring you can access care when you need it most.
- Urgent Care Only: Routine and ongoing medical care, such as management of chronic conditions, is not provided in our urgent care setting
