The Northern Beaches Hospital offers the community comprehensive Women’s Health services, thanks to the expertise of our midwifery, nursing and medical staff.

The Hospital’s Women’s Health services include the following:

  • Birthing services, with flexible models of pregnancy, birthing and post-natal care for all patients:
    • Midwifery Group Practice
    • Midwifery-led care
    • GP Shared Care
    • Public Obstetric Care
    • Private Obstetric Care
  • State-of-the-art birthing facilities, including birthing pools, and immediate access to theatres and urgent care, if required.
  • Premium Maternity accommodation, with single rooms and luxurious extras for private patients.
  • A leading standard of obstetric and midwifery care.
  • Diverse inpatient and outpatient Maternity support, including assistance with bonding, attachment, feeding and parenting; access to Allied Services; and access to post-discharge midwifery care and community supports.
  • A fully-equipped and staffed Special Care Nursery to care for newborn babies from 32 weeks gestation.
  • A wide range of general Gynaecology services available through our Gynaecologists’ private consultation suites or the public Gynaecology Clinic.
